Thank you all for bringing this issue to our attention. As of February 4, 2014, Bluetack Blocklists require a paid subscription. Are there any free block list alternatives that can be used with Transmission? In order to prevent Peer Block from hammering on list servers, prior to downloading a list we check the timestamp on that list.If the list hasn't been updated since the last time we downloaded it, we won't attempt to download it this time, either. Bluetack has now fixed this problem on their servers, and within an hour or so the correct updated lists should now be downloaded by Peer Block.ion-daemon In addition there are scripts available on the forum that can be run periodically to update any number of blocklists of your choice. BTW, I believe the title of this thread is misleading, at least pertaining to iblocklist. Check out the site (Lists).*facepalms* You're right, I was calling transmission-remote directly instead of my shortcut that supplies the RPC values for me, I just assumed because that was the error I was getting with the non-functional blacklist that the same thing was happening to the new one, the alternative URL seems to working just fine now, thanks!Search terms like "Multiple Blocklists'" or "Script Update Multiple Blocklists". The servers seem to be much faster than the Phoenix Labs ones, and are That's it!
What I am trying to achieve is somehow combine the efforts of anyone willing to help. There is no such thing as a iblocklist version of a bluetack list. Imagine Fakhir took Firehol and put it on iblocklist and started selling it to people, without asking you or giving a shit if you asked him not to do that.
The only remotely confusing part of this whole process may be selecting which of the i Blocklist lists you should use.
The trick is that the original Peer Guardian renamed some of these lists to make them more meaningful, and Peer Block has so far kept that renaming.
Other blocklist URL's are available at:https:// an update for those interested: It seems the Bluetack one from i Blocklist is not updated anymore due to a paid subscription required.
The closest free alternative is the TBG "Primary Threats" blocklist.
